Our Story & Focus

For over 24 years, Property Logistics has been Western Australia's dedicated partner for infrastructure property acquisition. Founded in 2000, we've built our entire practice around one specialised focus: securing land tenure for major infrastructure projects, largely across WA, and also in NSW and Victoria.

Unlike generalist property consultants who handle residential sales, commercial leasing, and everything in between, we exclusively work on infrastructure acquisition. This singular focus means we've developed deep expertise in the unique challenges of securing rights for wind farms, solar installations, transmission lines, pipelines, telecommunications facilities, and battery energy storage systems.

Our Perth-based team understands Western Australia's distinctive property landscape—from the complexities of Crown land and pastoral leases to the sensitivities of native title and heritage considerations. This local knowledge, combined with decades of infrastructure experience, enables us to navigate challenges that can delay or derail projects managed by less specialised firms.

Leadership & Expertise

Property Logistics is led by Natalie Wilkie, who brings a rare combination of property credentials that directly benefit infrastructure clients. As a licensed real estate agent with a triennial certificate and former practicing property valuer, Natalie understands both sides of property acquisition: the legal and regulatory requirements of securing tenure, and the valuation principles that ensure fair compensation for landowners.

This dual expertise proves invaluable when negotiating with landowners, whether on pastoral properties in the Wheatbelt, Crown land in the Pilbara, or private holdings in the Southwest. Natalie's professional background across multiple property disciplines means she can anticipate issues, structure agreements appropriately, and speak the language of valuers, surveyors, lawyers, and landowners alike.

Her experience spans the full spectrum of tenure types required for infrastructure projects—from straightforward purchase contracts and leases to complex easement negotiations, Crown land licences, and even compulsory acquisition processes when necessary for public benefit projects.

What Makes Us Different

Infrastructure-Only Focus

We don't do residential sales. We don't manage commercial properties. We do one thing: secure property rights for infrastructure. This specialisation means our team has encountered and solved virtually every acquisition challenge specific to energy, utilities, and telecommunications projects.

WA Property Landscape Mastery

Western Australia's property tenure system is unique in Australia. From vast pastoral leases where infrastructure must coexist with livestock operations, to Crown land requiring Department approvals, to areas with active native title claims—we've navigated it all. Our local knowledge means we know which government departments to approach, what documentation they require, and how long approvals realistically take.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

Infrastructure projects succeed or fail based on relationships with landowners, Traditional Owners, local councils, and government agencies. We approach every negotiation with respect, transparency, and a commitment to fair outcomes. Many of our clients return to us for their next project because they trust our ability to secure tenure while maintaining the positive community relationships essential for long-term operations.

Comprehensive Tenure Capability

Our experience covers every acquisition structure infrastructure projects require: purchase contracts, long-term leases, licences, private easements, Crown easements, Crown leases, access agreements, and where necessary, compulsory acquisition for essential public infrastructure. This breadth means we can structure the optimal tenure solution for each unique situation.

Our Track Record

Our Approach

Infrastructure development requires securing property rights efficiently, but not at the expense of fair treatment for landowners or Traditional Owners. We believe that the best outcomes—those that support long-term project success—come from negotiations where all parties feel respected and fairly compensated.

Our approach emphasises:

• Transparency - Clear communication about project requirements, timelines, and compensation

• Fair Valuation - Drawing on valuation expertise to ensure landowners receive appropriate compensation

• Regulatory Compliance - Meticulous attention to all legal, environmental, and heritage requirements

• Long-Term Perspective - Structuring agreements that work for both parties throughout project lifecycles

• Cultural Sensitivity - Respectful engagement with Traditional Owners and understanding of heritage obligations
